The Challenge Help the DIY consumer quickly understand the tools and processes related to a typical paint project.  Provide a consistent solution for Lowe’s Home Improvement stores nationwide and in Canada.

The Thinking Show how products are used and take the guess work out of selecting tools needed to complete a project.

The Solution We used the headings ‘Repair, Prepare, & Paint’ to categorize the items needed to execute a typical paint project.  In addition to illustrations of product in action, we provide links to a video (MS Tag barcode) that give further explanation, tips and insight about the painting process.

The Result D.I.Y consumers can make purchasing decisions with ease and confidence.

We also completed an end-cap version for smaller stores that follows the same design.

With over 50,000 entries annually, the ADDY Awards are the world’s largest and arguably toughest advertising competition. The Addy Awards represent the true spirit of creative excellence by recognizing all forms of advertising in all media, by agencies of all sizes and entrants at all levels from anywhere in the world. Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the local ADDY Awards are the first of a three-tier, national competition. AAF Triad consists of Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem and surrounding North Carolina counties.

We made a decision to go all out and execute an Art Nouveau style poster since it’s rarely seen anymore and is appropriate for the message. We don’t always have the opportunity to flex out creative muscles with our everyday work so this event, like years past, gave us a great outlet to show what we can do.”
